I used to work underneath a partner at a law firm who would regularly ask me to go get him sushi for lunch and also ask me to take his 18th century mini figurines to be repainted.
Upon returning with his sushi and newly painted figurine he would then insist that I sit down in his office and watch him re create a battle scene from the 18th Century all while watching him chew sushi aggressively.
The day I resigned he gave me one of his 18th century mini figurines and told me to carry this with me to my new job as it will bring me luck.
